This web page will provide ongoing updates about construction activities as Allston Yards comes to life. Allston Yards will be built in multiple phases, while keeping the current Stop & Shop grocery store in full operation, serving the community. The construction sequence has been designed to minimize impacts to grocery shoppers, the surrounding community, pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles. The first construction phase, which began in September, the “Site Enabling Work” includes the installation of underground utility infrastructure on site to support the future construction. The second construction phase, beginning later this fall, “Building A”, includes the construction of the new Stop & Shop store and 165 units of housing.
